Aim Right Kids
At Aim Right our desire is to help inner-city children learn about God, know they are loved, and just enjoy being a kid. Many children in the neighborhood are faced with challenges that no child should ever have to face. We know that God loves these children, and He desires that they love Him.
Kingdom Kids is our weekly program where we play games, do crafts, sing worship songs, and learn Bible Stories. We provide dinner and snack bags for each child.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is a highlight of the summer! Imagine 60 energetic kids dancing and singing songs about Jesus!
Summer Day Camps
Day Camps in the summer are a great way to engage the young people in our community, including trips to museums, a dairy farm, and of course swimming.
While away at summer camp, kids learn about God's love for them, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We've partnered with Youth Haven Ranch, and are able to send 24 kids to camp each year.
We love our local elementary schools, and we want to support them so that the students, teachers, and staff are maximizing their potential. Our team runs a Homework Club twice a week for 5th and 6th graders. We’ve seen students excited about learning and expressing the desire to achieve goals beyond high school and college. Aim Right Interns work in the classroom three mornings a week helping teachers with a variety of tasks. This includes reading intervention, math tutoring, helping keep classrooms organized, and more.
We serve our schools in many ways throughout the year including Teacher Breakfasts, a Back to School Bash, Class Parties, and more. Once a month our team provides and serves breakfast to Garfield Elementary teachers and staff. This has been a great way to get to know teachers better, and it’s created opportunities to pray with and encourage our teachers in whatever challenges they are facing.
